Pinterest Video Downloader
Paste a Pin link to download the video as MP4. Images and GIFs work too.
How to download Pinterest videos
- Open the Pin with the video in the Pinterest app or on pinterest.com
- Copy its link: in the app tap Share, then Copy link
- Paste the link above, or tap Paste to do it in one step
- Press Download MP4 under the video to save it
Videos, images, GIFs and multi-slide Pins
The downloader reads what kind of Pin you pasted and gives you the right file for it. A video Pin downloads as an MP4 at the size it was uploaded. An image Pin gives you the original image rather than the smaller copy shown in the feed, so a photo uploaded at 4000 pixels wide downloads at 4000 pixels wide. GIF Pins save as animated GIFs, not as a still frame. Idea Pins and carousels with several slides list every slide, each with its own download button.
Saving to iPhone and Android
On iPhone, Safari puts downloads in Files › Downloads. To move a video into Photos, open it in Files, tap Share and choose Save Video. On Android, downloads go to the Downloads folder and appear in your gallery. On a computer the file goes wherever your browser saves downloads. Every file is named after its Pin, like pinterest-1145955067719136007-1.mp4, so you can find the original Pin again later.
Why a Pin won't download
- The Pin was deleted, or it sits on a secret board that only its owner can see
- The link is to a board or profile, not a single Pin
- The video is an external link: some Pins only point to a video on another site, such as YouTube, and have no video of their own on Pinterest

FAQs
How do I download a Pinterest video?
Copy the link of the Pin. In the app, tap Share and then Copy link; on a computer, copy the address from the browser bar. Paste it into the box above and press Download, then use the Download MP4 button under the video.
Does it work with pin.it links?
Yes. Links copied from the Pinterest app are short pin.it links, and they work the same as full pinterest.com/pin/ links from any country version of Pinterest. You can also paste the whole message the app shares; the link is found inside it.
What quality are the downloaded videos?
You get the largest file Pinterest has for that video, which is the size it was uploaded in, often 720p or 1080p. Pinterest does not keep anything bigger, so no downloader can give you 4K of a video that was uploaded in 1080p. For some Pins there is also a "Smaller file" button if you want to save space.
How do I save a Pinterest video to my iPhone camera roll?
Download it here in Safari. The video goes to Files › Downloads. Open it there, tap the Share button and choose Save Video, and it appears in Photos. On Android the video lands in the Downloads folder and shows up in your gallery.
Can I download Pinterest images and GIFs too?
Yes. Paste the link of an image Pin to get the original full-size image, not the smaller copy Pinterest shows in the feed. GIF Pins download as real animated GIFs, and Pins with several slides give you every slide.
Can I download a whole board?
No, one Pin at a time. If you paste a board or profile link, the tool tells you so. Open a single Pin on the board and copy its link instead.
Is this Pinterest downloader free? Do I need an account?
It is free, with no sign-up and no app to install, and you do not need a Pinterest account. It works for public Pins; Pins on secret boards cannot be downloaded.
Is it okay to download videos from Pinterest?
Saving a Pin for your own offline use is generally fine. Most videos on Pinterest belong to the people who made them, so ask the creator before you re-upload or use one in your own content.
