How do I build a circle in Minecraft using this generator?
Pick a diameter, choose Thin outline, Thick outline, or Filled, then read the grid left to right, top to bottom. The ruler along the top and left edges gives you a coordinate for every block, so you can place one row at a time in the game and know exactly where it starts and ends. What is the difference between thin outline and thick outline?
Thin outline keeps the ring exactly one block wide by only marking the leftmost and rightmost block in each row (and topmost and bottommost in each column). Thick outline marks every block on the true edge of the filled circle, which can end up two blocks wide on the diagonal parts of the curve. Thin outline uses fewer blocks and is easier to build; thick outline looks smoother from a distance.
Why do even diameters look different from odd diameters?
An odd diameter has a single block sitting exactly at the center, so the circle is symmetric around that block. An even diameter has no center block: the middle of the circle falls on the line between four blocks instead. Both are still fully symmetric, they are just built around a point instead of a block. This tool centers every circle correctly for both cases, so a diameter of 8 or 16 will not come out lopsided.

This tool draws one 2D layer at a time, not a full 3D sphere.
