Cursive Text Generator: Script & Bold Script Unicode Fonts

Tool is 100% private: operates entirely in your browser. No data ever leaves your device. Your data is safe and private!

Input: 19 characters (19 bytes). Unicode characters can take up more than one byte each, and some platforms count "characters" by byte or by UTF-16 code unit instead, so the number you see elsewhere may not match exactly.

Script

Mathematical script letters: a flowing, cursive-style alphabet.

𝒯𝓎𝓅ℯ 𝓎ℴ𝓊𝓇 𝓉ℯ𝓍𝓉 𝒽ℯ𝓇ℯ

Output: 19 characters (62 bytes)

Bold Script

A heavier, bolder version of the script alphabet.

𝓣𝔂𝓹𝓮 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓽𝓮𝔁𝓽 𝓱𝓮𝓻𝓮

Output: 19 characters (67 bytes)

Tool Introduction

This cursive text generator converts plain text into script-style Unicode letters, in a regular and a bold weight. The letters come from the mathematical alphanumeric symbols Unicode block, so what you get back is still plain text, just made up of different characters that happen to render in a flowing, handwriting-like style.

How to Use the Cursive Text Generator

  • Type or paste your text into the input box
  • Compare the Script and Bold Script output side by side as you type
  • Check the character count if you need to fit a platform's length limit
  • Click "Copy" under the style you want to use
  • Paste it into your bio, caption, username, or message

Use Cases: Cursive Unicode Text

  • Give an Instagram or TikTok bio a handwritten-style heading
  • Style a username or display name where custom fonts are not supported
  • Sign off a message with a script-style name
  • Add a decorative title to a Discord server or channel
  • Make a birthday card, invitation, or announcement text stand out

Want something smaller instead? Try the small text generator. To flip your words entirely, use upside down text, or cross a line through them with the strikethrough text generator. The invisible character tool copies characters that show nothing at all. For heavier effects, see the glitch text generator, zalgo text generator, and cursed text generator.

FAQs

Is this cursive text generator free to use?

Yes, it is free and runs entirely in your browser. Convert and copy as much text as you need, there is no limit.

What is the difference between Script and Bold Script?

Script is a lighter, thinner cursive alphabet. Bold Script is the same idea with heavier, thicker strokes, closer to a bold cursive font. Both come from the Unicode mathematical alphanumeric block, not from an actual font.

Why do a few letters look different from the rest?

The regular Script style pulls a handful of letters (capital B, E, F, H, I, L, M, and lowercase e, g, o) from an older Unicode block, since Unicode never assigned those specific letters their own script code point in the newer block. They are still proper script letters, just sourced from a different part of the Unicode standard, which is why this tool gets them right instead of leaving them broken.

Will cursive text work in usernames and bios?

Usually, since it is plain Unicode text rather than an image or a real custom font. Some platforms and some older devices may not have a glyph for every character and will show a small box instead of the letter.

Can I convert numbers and punctuation too?

This generator focuses on the alphabet, since that is what most mathematical script and bold script Unicode blocks cover. Numbers and punctuation in your input pass through unchanged rather than being dropped.

Does this actually change the font?

No. Every character you see is a distinct Unicode character that happens to be drawn in a script style, not your regular alphabet displayed in a cursive font. That is exactly why it can be copied and pasted anywhere plain text works, with no font installed on the other end.
